Description:
The Philips IntelliVue X2 (M3002A) is a patient monitor. Although its blood pressure measurement technology has been evaluated, it is not possible to base a determination on its accuracy from this research and information regarding the accuracy of its oxygen saturation measurement technology does not appear to be available. Both upper arm and intra-arterial measurements can be taken and oxygen saturation measurements are taken from the finger. It is intended for bedside patient monitoring.
Assessment:
The technology used in the Philips IntelliVue X2 (M3002A), to measure blood pressure, has been assessed, in a specific population, according to a non-standard protocol. There appears to be no peer-reviewed clinical validation information available on the technology used in the Philips IntelliVue X2 (M3002A) to measure peripheral oxygen saturation.
