Description:
The Scanbo D8 is an automatic blood pressure monitor. Medaval has not found evidence proving the accuracy of its blood pressure measurement technology, although its blood glucose measurement technology has been evaluated, it is not possible to base a determination on its accuracy from this research and information regarding the accuracy of its oxygen saturation measurement technology does not appear to be available. Blood pressure measurements and oxygen saturation measurements are taken from the upper arm and blood glucose measurements are taken from the finger. It is intended for professional use.
Assessment:
There appears to be no peer-reviewed clinical validation information available on the technology used in the Scanbo D8 to measure blood pressure. The technology used in the Scanbo D8, to measure blood glucose, has been assessed, in a general population, according to a non-standard protocol. There appears to be no peer-reviewed clinical validation information available on the technology used in the Scanbo D8 to measure peripheral oxygen saturation.
